Hi, I'm Abby! 

I'm the face behind Poppy + Spruce Fibers. Poppy + Spruce Fibers was started in Jan 2023, born out of an intense love for all things yarn. I learned how to crochet in high school, but once I started knitting in 2021, I very quickly fell in love with hand dyed fibers. After growing up in California my whole life, my husband Josh and I moved to Denver, CO in Dec 2021 and we bought our first home together. My dream of hand dyeing my own yarn could finally come true with a bigger space of my own. The name Poppy + Spruce Fibers represents my first home (poppies are California's state flower) and my new home (spruces are Colorado's state tree). Please don't hesitate to email or message me if you have any questions and I hope you can find something that truly brings you joy.

Here are a few fun facts about me:

- I have two amazing kiddos, named Everly and Finley.

- I got married to my husband, Josh, in 2016. He is an airline pilot and flight instructor for United Airlines, so we travel a ton!

- I'm a drink girlie and always have a non-water drink around. Some of my favorites are Coke Zero and iced mochas.

- I'm a Type 1 Diabetic and am gluten intolerant.

- I loooove listening to and watching true crime.

- I'm very creative and love trying new crafts and hobbies. Most don't stick, but knitting and dyeing sure did!
